Subcommittees
Collaborating across campuses to address shared priorities
Ohio Five subcommittees bring together colleagues from across member institutions around shared interests, challenges, and opportunities. Formed as needs arise, these groups support collaboration, professional development, and shared problem-solving and may evolve as priorities change.
Each subcommittee is sponsored by one of the Ohio Five Standing Committees: Academic, Operating, CIO, or Library. The sponsoring committee and Ohio Five staff serve as resources to help ensure that subcommittee activities align with broader consortial priorities.
Each subcommittee has a chair who serves a one-year term beginning July 1, with the option to serve one additional year. Chairs are selected through either a member volunteering to serve or a discussion among members about who is best positioned to lead the group.
The chair is responsible for organizing meetings, facilitating discussions, communicating with members, and representing the subcommittee to its sponsoring Standing Committee and other Ohio Five groups, as appropriate.
