Job Description

The Department of Physics at the College of Wooster invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning August 2021, to teach upper and lower level physics courses and labs, including either our Electronics for Scientists or Computational Physics course. Applicants should have a strong commitment to undergraduate education; this position includes the opportunity to guide one or more yearlong senior thesis projects as part of the College’s Independent Study program.  Ph.D. in Physics or related field is preferred. 

We are especially interested in hiring faculty who can contribute to the intellectual vibrancy and diversity of the academic community through their teaching, research, and service. The College of Wooster enrolls a diverse student body (22% domestic students of color and 16% international students).
