The Program in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at The College of Wooster invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Biochemistry to begin August 2021. Primary responsibilities include teaching introductory courses in molecular and cellular biology as well as upper level courses and labs in biochemistry. In addition, the visiting faculty member may also advise senior undergraduate majors in our nationally recognized Senior Independent Study thesis research program. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. by the time of appointment. The Program in BCMB is housed in a new teaching/research space that opened in 2018. The BCMB program has 8 faculty members and graduates approximately 30 majors annually, many of whom pursue advanced study and/or careers in BCMB.
