Job Description

The Department of World Languages and Cultures at Ohio Wesleyan University is seeking a part-time instructor of French to teach two courses this spring, with the possibility of continuing, pending review. Required qualifications include a master’s degree in French, native or near-native fluency in French, and evidence of teaching experience at the college level. Preferred qualifications include a Ph.D. and demonstrated excellence in teaching. We are especially interested in instructors who are familiar with recent trends in curricular design and teaching methodology, prepared to contribute enthusiastically to discussions about the curriculum, and eager to collaborate with colleagues in the department.

All classes are taught in the target language, to the extent possible. The spring semester begins Wednesday, January 12, 2022 and ends May 3, 2022. The current salary is $5000 per full-unit course that meets minimum enrollment requirements. Interested candidates should send their C.V.
